They randomly meilih 160 patients who experienced migraine into four groups: In kelompo one, patients received twice-weekly sessions of traditional acupuncture. The second group underwent acupuncture sham. The third group also underwent acupuncture to pretend but menggunaka needle inserted in the pivot-point ttik real acupuncture. And the fourth group was a control group who did not receive acupuncture treatment at all.
More than six months, Facco team found, only the group receiving acupuncture needle puncture with the fitting of healing from migraine compared with the control group. The new main factor of this research is that this therapy based on traditional medicine though, but using western scientific way.
The results are promising, said Facco, but further research is needed to confirm the benefits of traditional acupuncture for migraine. However, Facco added, since this therapy is only a small side effect, can be used for those who suffer from migraines that can not be resolved with standard treatment.
